2017 - Week 7

Week 7 - 2/13/17 - 2/19/17

Kicked off this week marking another monthly "birthday" for this guy! 7 months old ! It's so hard to believe. He LOOOOOVES to eat. Anything and everything. He wants to crawl so bad, he just can't quite put all of the motions together yet. He'll sit all day long though and hates laying down now. He's about to move into 6-9 month clothes, and is still comfy in Size 2 diapers. He is so alert and figuring out new things every day. He likes to play with his toys and his sisters, and enjoys screaming at the top of his lungs for funzies. He still wakes once, sometimes twice, a night, but thankfully eats and goes right back to sleep. Even though he's not quite crawling yet, he still gets around plenty by scooting and rolling around. Unless he's hungry, or a tooth is about to break through (he has 4 now!), he's a pretty happy guy most of the time. He's still not a huge fan of naps, but every once in a while we get a good one out of him. He didn't grow too much this month, so I think he's just destined to be more of a peanut, like his twin.

We did a Valentine's gift exchange in the birth club group I'm in for Noah, and our package came today. So fun!

Christian got me some roses and a new charm for my bracelet

Another "first" Holiday down for this guy. Such a cutie!

These are the 4 biggest pieces of my heart right here!

Got a call at work today. Olivia got a cut above her eye and they recommended she be seen. Of course, I panicked the entire way to school. AGAIN?! ANOTHER cut above her eye?! I picked her up and the cut really didn't look that bad, NOTHING like last fall when she hit her head on the coffee table, but I decided to get her checked out anyway, just to be safe. Turns out she was playing a game on the playground which required that she close her eyes and run around, and she ran right into a pole. Seriously?! Thankfully she didn't need stitches this time, they were able to glue it, but she'll have another scar.

Another week in the books for my main man!

There's no mystery why he'll always get what he wants until the end of time. Look at that cry face!

My big baby. She cuddled up with Noah on the couch, and he fell fast asleep while I was cleaning up and getting everybody ready for bed. Love my babysitter to pieces.

Her eye is pretty black and blue, but she's healing well.

He's standing better and better every day. He loves his new view of the world!

She was very angry with me because I made a last minute decision not to let her swim this week. The doctor told her it would be OK, but everything I read online said she needed as least another two days.

We FINALLY finished our latest project at home. My "command center". I LOVE it!!!

The girls had an overnight at my mom's last night, so my boys and I were off to lunch!

Spaghetti and Breadsticks, he was in heaven!

Until Next Week! XOXO

2017 - Week 6

Week 6 - 2/6/17 - 2/12/17

Trying out his new seat. He wasn't a fan. Thankfully it was a garage sale purchase!

Somebody likes the fresh coat of snow!

Another week, and he's still growing way too fast!

This was a big day....

Had their conferences tonight! Amelia was first. We got updated on her IEP progress, and she's doing really well. They're moving her onto "r" now, which they usually wait until 2nd grade but her speech pathologist things she's ready. Then, we talked about the new reading program she's starting, and met with that teacher as well. This will be daily, one on one time to work on her reading and I'm SOOOOOO excited that she gets to take advantage. They only take about 10 kids per grade, which sucks because obviously that means she's really behind, but she's gets the help she needs, which give some comfort. They've also recommended her for the summer school program she was in last year again. It was overwhelming, but at least I know she's getting the help she needs. On the super positive note, she scored in the 83% for the 1st grade standardized test, which tests problem-solving/puzzle skills, so I'm super proud of that. And she won a coloring contest at school, which she's super proud of. Olivia's went pretty quick and smooth, as it usually does. She is coming out of her shell more, and doing better in group settings, which is big. Her reading is still above grade level, but she needs to work on fluency and retention still. And, lots of work in math needed. She's the only kid in class who has turned in all of her weekly homework this year though. Who knew it was optional?! Parents these days.

Next up, this one! She woke up dry this morning, AND from her nap. She used the potty multiple times, and NOOOOO accidents. I'm so excited, and beyond proud. I really think it's going to stick, and we're THISCLOSE to kidding two in diapers goodbye!

Finally, this guy. First of all, I think he's finally re-adjusting to daycare, and settling back into it. He took a great nap today and was happy and playful. Such a relief. Then, he did AMAZING at conferences tonight, barely heard a peep out of him.

My Life summed up: "Eliza, stop putting lip gloss on". "I'm not".

Being an infant is exhausting!

Until Next Week! XOXO
