1/16/10 - Saturday!!

Well, today is our new typical Saturday. Hang out around the house, get some shopping and chores done around the house, and early to bed. After Olivia went down for the night, Christian and I sat there and pondered about how different life is now. At 9:00, I was getting ready to pack it in and head to bed, exhausted from an early start and a long day. 9:00!!! And, this is our new norm! It's so strange how much life changes as you get older, and as you have kids...there is no way we'd be found at home, let along ready for bed, at 9:00 on a Saturday even a year ago, and now, that's just the new way of life.

1/15/10 - Typical Day In

Today was mommy's normal day at home with Olivia, so we spent the day cleaning (then of course making a mess again) and playing around the house...mommy is getting really anxious for outdoor weather so we're not cooped up all the time!

Rico is still the only cat who will allow Olivia around him, and he's getting better and better. He'll let her "hold him" and sit by him until she starts getting too violent. She just LOVES him!! The other two cats will barely be in the same room as her...and if she heads in their direction, I'm pretty sure they end up on the brink of a heart attack! Who knew a 2.5 foot tall human could be so scary!

1/14/10 - Daddy Time

Today was a pretty normal day, nothing exciting to share. Work and home, just like normal!! Olivia is becoming more and more interested in her books now...more for the reading, rather than the eating as it has been to date...so we've been spending a lot of time reading to her. Today was daddy's turn!

1/13/10 - Date Night (kind of!)

Today was a different kind of day!! Christian was on Olivia duty, so he dropped her off in the morning, which gave me a whole 15 more minutes of sleep!! Yes (gotta take what you get!). Then work was normal as always, but I got to go to dinner with the BFF, to delicious Kahn's, while Christian picked up Olivia and had dinner with his mom. It was great getting to hang out with the BFF and catch up...those times are definitely few and far between, and much needed!!!

1/12/10 - 13 Weeks! (or 12)

Well, today marks 13 weeks (or 12)...so either way, we have DEFINITELY made it to that landmark 12 weeks! We're getting more and more excited every day. Although I'm determined to enjoy every bit of this pregnancy and not rush it, I can't wait to meet our new family member! I was feeling a TON better, but my morning sickness has come back with a vengeance! But, I know it will all soon pass. I have managed to gain back a couple pounds, so I'm getting closer to my starting weight (not that that's so great!). I am most definitely showing though, I don't think there is any question whether I'm pregnant or not anymore!! Still 2 more weeks until my next appointment, and until I can finally hear that little pounding heart! Can't wait :)

1/11/10 - Nothing New

Today was a pretty un-interesting day in our world. Just the regular...work, home, eat, bed! Nothing fun or new to report. So, I thought I'd use today as a comparison day...below are two pictures of Olivia, one from today, and one from a year ago...I love to see the difference, what a difference a year makes!! (I'll probably just do this when I have nothing more interesting to share!)

1/10/10 - Chore Day!

Well, today was a VERY exciting day in the Duran household (and yes, that is sarcasm)!! Mama Duran spend the day doing laundry and cleaning, while Papa Duran took the car for an oil change and a MUCH NEEDED car wash! Of course everything is much harder to do with a "helpful" curious one year old though! You must trap them in the laundry basket in order to fold the clothes :)

AND, cleaning is pointless, because this is what it looks like 10 minutes later:
BUT, with a face like this, it really doesn't matter!!! I'll clean all day if I get to see this goofy face!

1/9/10 - Happy Birthday Grandpa Ken!

We spent the morning just hanging out around the house, playing, and enjoying a VERY long nap time :)

Once Olivia woke up, we were off to Grandma and Grandpa Cornell's house for Grandpa Ken's birthday!! It was nice to hang out with the family...and eat some really yummy fried tacos and rice! YAY. Olivia had the time of her life. Oh boy, she was dancing her behind off ALL night long. And, once her cousins got there, she was in heaven!! It was nice to have a VERY worn out baby...she passed out before we even got her fully buckled into her carseat!
