2017 - Week 1

Week 1, 1/2/17 - 1/8/17

Here we are, kicking off a brand new year!!! 2017 - doesn't that just sound insane?!

We kicked off this week, this year, with Olivia's birthday! I can't believe we have an 8 year old. It's so unreal.

Our first birthday activity was breakfast at Perkins! Even Noah had his FIRST FOOD!

Next up, presents and cake!

Finally, we went to see "Sing" with Olivia's BFF, Bella

 

Meanwhile, Eliza is officially a PRE-SCHOOLER!!! Again, I can't believe it.

Noah's starting to sit on his own really well now...big boy!

Noah also reached another week. Which, unfortunately, means I kicked off my last week of Maternity Leave take 2.

We had Olivia's Birthday party at the rollerskating rink this year. It was a bit of an ordeal - we mainly invited a few friends from school, plus her cousins, and seriously hadn't heard back from ANYBODY until earlier this week. Thankfully, all but one friend made it, and she has such an amazing time.

  

Our busy weekend continued, with Noah's baptism.

2016 - THE END!

Week "53", 12/26/16 - 1/1/16

These moments warm my heart. Nursing my little guy to sleep, while watching these three play together, working on Olivia's lego set. I love it.

I'm going to miss spending my days like this. Again. It's Christmas break week, so things are a little crazy around the house. These peaceful moments are going to be few and far between for the next few days (except. Eliza is still going to daycare for three of them)

What a week! Starting to sit, celebrated his first Christmas, and welcomed the New year!

Somebody lost another tooth!!! Finally. Had to yank that sucker out, and the new tooth is almost all the way in again. Somebody else is back behind bars, because she likes to destroy the room and keep everybod awake all night. Ugh.

How can somebody so small collect so many huge things?!

Celebrating Christmas late with my dad and step-mom.

I have the HARDEST time getting Noah to sleep. Olivia brings her in her room to babysit, and he passes out laying next to her. What the heck! (and,yes, on HER bed....the top bunk. She was so excited to tell us she'd gotten him to sleep, and we had a major panic attack when she showed us where.)

A year ago, I was still in complete shock over being pregnant again, and didn't know how we were going to survive. It's taken a lot of time and growth and "letting go", but now I can't imagine life without Noah. Life is crazy, chaotic, stressful, overwhelming...but overflowing with love, and there's nothing better than that. I'm so thankful for my little man, and the change he's brought to out family this year.

Ready to watch the final Vikings game of the year, and we cheered them onto a victory. I hate that the football season is coming to an end!
