2016 - Week 49

Week 49, 11/28/16 - 12/4/16

Not only did Monday mark the start of my 6-week paid parental leave, we also decorated the Christmas tree!! Well, I pretty much watched from the couch, while nursing Noah and trying to finish up our "year in review" photobook so that I could take advantage of the Cyber Monday sales. The girls actually pretty much decorated the entire thing on their own! They are getting too big.

This was my view all night!

He wasn't the happiest of campers. Poor guy.

Another week bites the dust! 

After dropping the girls off at school/daycare, I came home to find these two passed out. Those all-nighters are tough! At least one of them has an excuse....the other just refuses to sleep. When does mama get to catch up on her zzzzzzzzz's?!

Got our Santa Session photos today. So cute! I'm kicking myself for not getting a photo of Noah by himself.

This is how excited he is every night when we try to herd the girls into bed.

This happy guy (momentarily anyway). Just hanging out at Target, let the good times roll! 

Well, it's official. I know why he was so extra fussy the last few days, and a bit happier today. His first tooth has popped through!!! WHAT! He's not even 5 months old yet. There's no need for teeth!!!

We got some new Stockings this year. Matching ones. Everybody seems so perplexed by the letters, like it was supposed to spell something. I thought it would be obvious it was our names!

Eliza was showing Noah the Jack-in-the-Box. She seriously loves this thing.

Another official...he's outgrown his rock and play (he's so long!). We don't have a crib for him (or a room for that matter), so we're trying out the pack and play for now.

 

We attended a formal anniversary dinner for my aunt and uncle on Sunday. We got there only to find out Christian had left Noah's pacifier at home. I thought we were doomed...but, I put my "shusher" app on, and he was out like a light! Whew!

He's getting better at tummy time...Olivia was helping keep him entertained and cooperative for a while!

2016 - Week 48

Week 48, 11/21/16 - 11/27/16

Look at how much he's grown and changed in his third of a year! So crazy.

Another week of growing too fast.

She was excited to see the snow this morning!

I love my sweet, sleepy boy. Today was my last day of work until mid-January. The state recently passed a 6 Week Paid Parental Leave Bill  for state employees (though, I'm sure it will end up being temporary with Republicans taking over). The leave is retroactive to anybody who gave birth after July 1st (so, we JUST made it!). Because they cannot reimburse my leave time or provide the 6 weeks of pay, I get to take another 6 weeks off!!! I'm so excited!!

Thanksgiving!

Somebody moved into her big girl bed tonight! In hopes of potty training soon, we decided to give it a shot. (Spoiler alert, it lasted a few weeks, but she would get out of bed and keep the other two up all night, and destroy the room, so the crib went back up).

We bad my dad and step-mom over for our annual Birthday/Anniversary after Thanksgiving Turkey Taquito dinner. YUM!

And, we went to pick out and cut down our Christmas Tree! We brought Lorenzo with this year after learning just how heavy those damn trees are. And a chainsaw. Know Better, Do Better
